Tell Your Piteous Heart There's No Harm Done
$250 SOLD 800mm x 200mm. Ink sticks and graphite. The invisible red thread of fate connects you to people, and you can't break the thread no matter how hard you might try. This is from a series of hands, toying with the idea of the thread connecting you to yourself, as well as to the other important people in your life.
The title is is a line from The Tempest, where Prospero is trying to tell his daughter Miranda to just settle, petal, because everyone from the shipwreck is FINE. Pretty sure some days Miranda would like to cut that red thread, if only she could. Anatomy note: I like drawing squiffy and exaggerated hands, and they nearly always have my short thumbs (brachydactyly type D) in them. |
