Looking For Answers.
SOLD. 300mm x 300mm. Mixed media on board. This mixed media picture tells the story of Lisa and Susan, two natural scientists (that I made up but named after some zoology and ecology friends) in the early 1900s who explore far-flung lands for new species of flora and fauna. They start out with drive and excitement, then nearly throttle each other because Lisa snores, but they make amends by writing to each other through their field journals. Because talking about uncomfortable things is hard sometimes.
I have a BSc in Geology and I've always been a keen supporter of women in STEM professions (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), and the unquenchable thirst for knowledge and discovery. Science is just so cool. |
