Dragonfly Nymphs Eat Like This.
SOLD $400. Framed 595mm x 420mm. Graphite. I used to work at a great environmental consulting company in Wairarapa called Kāhu Environmental. My friend Rachel is an ecologist there, and specialises in leading community science programmes. One day she took us on a field trip to sample insects in a stream. Someone found a dragonfly nymph and Rachel spent several hilarious (and informative) minutes showing us how they eat, using her hands as big scary jaws (nom-nom).
This image is based on that experience, and only resembles Rachel a little bit (for starters, she has a body in real life). |
